About Bridgwater & District Road & Trail Runners
Bridgwater & District Road & Trail Runners, known as BADRAT, brings runners together in Bridgwater and the surrounding Somerset villages in England. The England Athletics-affiliated club combines regular social runs with longer road and trail outings. Its annual BADRAT Bolt covers 10.5K and gives members a local event to help organise as well as run.
The weekly programme includes Monday routes of 5K and 8K, a Wednesday run of roughly 5–9K and a longer continuous Thursday session. Occasional Sunday outings explore routes further afield. Meeting points change with the session, so use the club run listings or public Strava group before travelling.
Newcomers can try up to four club runs without joining. Regular sessions are intended for people already comfortable running 5K continuously; the separate spring Couch to 5K programme is the route for complete beginners. Members can choose club-only membership or an option that includes England Athletics registration.
