About Bracknell Forest Runners
Bracknell Forest Runners was founded in 1989 in Bracknell, Berkshire, England. Its adult running community takes part in road races, trails, cross-country and longer-distance events, with enjoyment and companionship at the centre of the club’s stated purpose.
The weekly programme uses different locations: Monday club runs meet at South Hill Park, Wednesday speed sessions use Bracknell’s athletics track, and Sunday outings start at The Lookout for a forest run. Track sessions are coached, while the club runs provide several pace groups. Newcomers can try up to three Wednesday sessions before committing to membership.
Club championships cover several road-racing distances, and the Thames Valley Cross Country League provides winter team competition. Members also volunteer at events, including the London Marathon. Membership is open to adults aged eighteen and over; the membership team can explain the available options and help a new runner choose a suitable first session.
