About Bodmin Running Club
Bodmin Running Club began on 15 January 2012 as Bodmin Road Runners, under coach Dave Grant. It was established to give people in Bodmin, Cornwall, England, a mixed running club within the town. In March 2024 the club changed its name to reflect the trails, cliff paths and roads its members enjoy, while keeping the same organisation and approach.
The usual programme combines Tuesday hill or speed work, a steady Thursday club run with different distance options, and longer Sunday training. Beginners and established runners can seek help from coaches and run leaders with their running goals. The club directs visitors to its Facebook page for the current timetable and meeting points.
Newcomers can try group running for a few weeks before deciding whether to join. The joining page suggests around four weeks and explains the club's England Athletics affiliation. Enquiries can be made through the linked Facebook page or to club members at Lanhydrock parkrun. Bodmin Women's Running Club is a separate organisation, not another name for this club.
