About Blackley North Manchester AC

Blackley & North Manchester AC began in 1989 as Blackley Ladies, created to give local girls more opportunities in athletics. Early training involved road runs starting outside the founder's home. As boys joined, including brothers of existing athletes, the club adopted its present name.

Today the club trains at Boggart Hole Clough Running Track in Blackley, Manchester, England. Monday and Thursday evenings bring together running and athletics groups, with track and field, cross-country and sportshall activities in the wider programme. Volunteers support both the sporting sessions and the day-to-day running of the club.

Juniors can join from age seven, but the membership page currently operates separate waiting lists for running-only sessions and the Run Jump Throw group. Families should complete the appropriate enquiry form and wait for an offered place. The public club email can help with questions about groups, accessibility or volunteering.
