Blackburn Road Runners offers group running in Blackburn and the surrounding Lancashire countryside. Regular runs start from Cherry Tree Cricket Club, while social ‘Run and Eat’ outings use other venues. Paced running groups cater for different speeds; the club asks runners to be able to cover at least three miles, and also provides a walking group.
Members race on roads, trails, fells and cross-country courses, over distances ranging from 5K to ultras. Relays, a club championship and performance standards give runners different ways to set goals and take part.
