About Bitton Road Runners
Bitton Road Runners was founded in 1986 and is based in East Bristol, England. The club brings together beginners and experienced runners for regular training, racing and social activities. Its coaches help members work towards their own goals, whether that means running more regularly or preparing for a particular event.
The club's events reflect the variety of running around Bristol and South Gloucestershire. Alongside a summer 5K series, it organises the Sodbury Slog, a muddy multi-terrain challenge, and the Hanham Horror, which follows woodland tracks and Avon towpaths. These race locations are separate from the club's weekly base.
Tuesday and Thursday sessions meet at Longwell Green Community Centre on Shellards Road. The published briefing starts at 6.55pm before a 7pm departure. Prospective members are invited to come along and introduce themselves, or email the committee beforehand. The joining page and official social accounts are the places to check for changes to sessions and event arrangements.
