About Birstall RC
Birstall Running Club is based in Birstall, Leicestershire, England, and welcomes runners from age fourteen upwards. Its stated aims combine local participation, coaching and opportunities to compete. A volunteer committee and other trained members support the programme rather than leaving club activity to a single organiser.
The main Monday evening run meets at the School Lane Pavilion, where changing rooms and showers are available. Routes are typically around an hour, using out-and-back runs or circuits with shorter options. Other sessions meet at different locations, so the route and training calendar matters when choosing a first visit.
The club publishes Couch to 5K information and takes part in the Leicester Road Running League, alongside its Swithland 6 activity. People considering membership are invited to try a running or training session and meet the group. The committee email offers a straightforward way to ask which session fits a runner’s experience and whether a beginner programme is currently taking new participants.
