About Beverley Athletic Club

Beverley Athletic Club began in February 1993 after runner Peter Brown suggested bringing together people who were running alone around the town. A meeting at Beverley Leisure Centre led to Wednesday group runs and, eventually, an affiliated club. It remains rooted in Beverley and the East Riding of Yorkshire, with road running and cross-country at the centre of its programme.

Adults can join club runs, speed sessions and strength work, while juniors develop running skills alongside introductory jumping and throwing. Junior training commonly uses the Westwood, with indoor winter sessions and a waiting list managed through Spond. The club also organises the Beverley and Walkington 10Ks and the community Beaver Trail outing. Prospective adult members should contact the membership team before attending so a welcome runner can help them settle into a suitable group.
