About Bentham Beagles Running Club
Bentham Beagles Running Club was formed on 4 October 2011 in Bentham, North Yorkshire, England. It welcomes novice and experienced runners and lists Bentham Golf Club on Robin Lane as its clubhouse base. The Lancaster postal area does not make this a Lancaster city club.
Tuesday and Thursday are the regular club nights. Most weeks offer a road route on Tuesday and a choice of road and trail running on Thursday, with qualified volunteers among those supporting the club. Members also arrange weekend outings and social events, including winter gatherings and championship presentations.
Organising races is part of club life, including a ten-kilometre event and the Halloween Tricks, Treats & Trails race. Prospective members can contact the club and try a run or two before deciding to join. First-claim, second-claim and social options are published, with the club explaining that social membership does not provide a competition licence.
