About Barrow Runners
Barrow Runners was formed in 1985 in Barrow upon Soar, Leicestershire, England. A founding member of the Leicestershire Road Running League, it combines local road racing with cross-country and a wider programme of club running. An internal championship introduced in 2017 gives members another shared target through the season.
Tuesday sessions use locations around Barrow, Woodhouse Eaves and Mountsorrel, while Thursday training includes track venues at Quorn and Ratcliffe College. The junior section covers children from school Year 2, normally age six, through to seventeen. Junior membership is linked to an adult member, and a responsible adult is expected to remain at the venue.
New adult runners can try sessions before joining and should use the general enquiry email to arrange a suitable start. Beginner courses have been offered separately, but the reviewed page says the previous programme has finished and no new course is currently planned. Check directly for the latest position, and confirm the venue before travelling: the club’s programme uses several locations.
