About Bakewell Athletics Club
Bakewell Athletics Club is based in Bakewell, Derbyshire, England, and organises the Bakewell Pudding Race in the Peak District. The event's own history dates the race to 1998; that is a race milestone, not a confirmed founding date for the club. SUMMAT is named as the event sponsor. The race programme brings fell running and shorter family events together, with routes starting at Bakewell Recreation Ground.
The 2026 programme included an adult fell race of approximately 6.5 miles, a shorter junior fell race and two fun runs. The official event website carries results, course information and the public bakewellac enquiry email. Runners interested in ordinary club training or membership should ask the club directly: the Recreation Ground race start and the directory's SUMMAT address do not, by themselves, establish a weekly training venue. Event record holders are not presented here as club members.
