About Badgers
BADGERS Running Club brings together runners from Atherstone, Baddesley Ensor, Polesworth and neighbouring communities in North Warwickshire, England. Tuesday training mixes hills, intervals and road or trail running, while Thursday social runs offer shorter and longer routes. Beginner BADGERS courses build towards a first 5K, and a junior membership option gives younger runners a way into the club. England Athletics affiliation sits alongside social and second-claim membership choices.
The club uses several meeting places rather than a single track or clubhouse. Its published Atherstone location is Woolpack Way car park; other sessions take place around Baddesley, Polesworth, Kingsbury and Tamworth. Check the session listing before travelling. Guest runners can try a limited number of sessions after completing the club's disclaimer. The 2026 programme marked BADGERS' fifteenth birthday with plans for a collective 24-hour running challenge and parkrun volunteering, reflecting the social side of the club as well as its training.
