About Castlebar A.C.
Castlebar Athletic Club caters mainly for children and teenagers aged eight to 18 in County Mayo, Ireland. Its programme introduces track and field as well as cross-country, with separate Little Athletics, older juvenile and throwing sessions. The club's 2026 updates describe the seasonal move into cross-country and give parents and athletes practical race guidance alongside training news.
Training usually takes place at St Mary's track in Castlebar, with recent notices also referring to the ATU track and Sunday cross-country sessions at Lough Lannagh. Race weekends can replace normal training, so the website and club text groups are important for current arrangements. Families interested in joining should use the Athletics Ireland club contact and registration route. The older GMIT directory address is retained only as directory information, rather than being presented as the venue for every session.
