About Carrick-on-Suir A.C.
Carrick-on-Suir Athletic Club combines an established juvenile athletics tradition with its senior Road Runners section in County Tipperary. The senior committee was formed in May 2006 after eleven runners met at the Carraig Hotel. That was a new chapter for adult road running and cross-country, not the founding date of the club's earlier junior activities.
The Road Runners' history includes local race series, a Christmas GOAL Mile, beginner sessions and fundraising for hospitals and charities. Today the county athletics directory gives separate contacts for juvenile track and field and the Road Runners, helping families and adults reach the appropriate section. Athletics Ireland lists the Seán Kelly Sports Centre as the club's training location. Ask the relevant contact for the current programme rather than relying on the older history page's weekly timetable.
