About Brothers Pearse A.C.
Brothers Pearse Athletic Club was founded in Knocklyon, Dublin, Ireland, in 1956. Its programme spans children’s introductory athletics, juvenile competition and adult running, with track and field in summer and cross-country through the winter. Cherryfield Park in the Dodder Valley is central to the club’s training, alongside several local school and community venues.
Adult training combines easy runs, interval sessions and weekend tempo or longer outings. ClubZap carries current session details, and prospective adults can contact the coaching team about trying a session. The club has also organised Couch to 5K and community-running groups, giving newer runners a route into regular activity and club life.
The detailed juvenile page describes Little Athletics for ages six to eight and a wider juvenile section from eight to seventeen. Some younger groups have waiting lists because of limited facilities, so parents should contact the juvenile team before attending. Children’s sessions and adult groups use different meeting points; the club’s training pages are the best guide to the appropriate venue.
