About Blackrock (Dublin) A.C.
Blackrock Athletic Club was founded in 1944, growing from a small volunteer military unit into a community club in Blackrock, south Dublin. Its first national title came in 1950. The club has since developed juvenile, junior and adult sections, combining competitive athletics with recreational running and a Fit4Life programme introduced in 2013.
Training covers track and field, cross-country, road and trail running. Carysfort Park is the clubhouse base, and beginners can ask about Couch to 5K while more experienced runners join the appropriate adult group. Club life extends to local races, shared trips and the annual Rory Byrne Run to the Forty Foot. Use the published joining guidance for age-group availability and current training arrangements.
