About Beara A.C.
Beara AC brings runners together across the Beara peninsula in County Cork, Ireland. Its 2018 launch account describes a volunteer-led club growing out of road and trail running, with connections to activity in Castletownbere, Eyeries, Bere Island and Glengarriff. The aim was to give local runners a shared club for training, events and competition.
The county account describes coached running drills, social outings and plans to broaden access to athletics. Those are launch-era details, rather than a current weekly timetable. Athletics Ireland now lists the Beara Sports and Recreation Complex at Cametringane, Castletownbere, as the club’s training location.
Use the current Athletics Ireland membership page or the club’s public enquiry contact to discuss joining and the appropriate session. The peninsula has several running venues, so confirm the meeting point and age-group provision before travelling; the original 2018 fees and proposed junior programme should not be treated as current arrangements.
