About Ashford & District RRC
Ashford & District Road Running Club has brought runners together in Ashford, Kent, England, since 1988. Volunteers run the club and reinvest its funds in members' activities. Its home is Sandyacres Sports & Social Club in Kennington, where evening road groups start and runners can use the changing facilities. Coached sessions at the Julie Rose Stadium add track work to a programme that also includes hills, strength and conditioning, and longer weekend runs.
Membership is open from age 18, with groups for beginners as well as experienced distance runners. Prospective members should use the enquiry form to arrange a trial before joining. The club also organises the Ashford & District 10 and 5 Mile races around Westwell and the Ashford 10K. Sandyacres is the social and road-running base, not the venue for every session; hill runs and weekend outings have their own meeting arrangements.
