About Altrincham & District Athletic Club Limited
Altrincham and District Athletic Club was founded in 1961 and is based beside Timperley village in Greater Manchester, England. Its floodlit training ground combines a cinder oval with a synthetic sprint straight, jumping areas and throwing facilities. A grass trail and clubhouse give runners and field-event athletes a shared home close to the centre of the community.
The club welcomes beginners as well as experienced competitors, with coached groups for juniors and adults. Members compete on the road, over cross-country and fells, and in track and field leagues. Prospective athletes can ask about a try-out through the membership page; there are also opportunities to help as a coach, official or volunteer. The Timperley track is separate from the club’s High Street postal address.
