About Aldridge RC
Aldridge Running Club was formed in October 1988 by friends who wanted to run together and keep fit. Based in Aldridge, Walsall, in England’s West Midlands, it made the Stick & Wicket its meeting place early on. The clubhouse remains central to a club culture in which the conversation after a run matters alongside the running itself.
Tuesday club night includes routes of different lengths, with rural lanes and tracks used in lighter months and well-lit roads in winter. A separate two-mile walking group lets members stay involved when running is not their preferred activity. Summer handicap races give runners staggered starts and a chance to measure their own progress.
Members also arrange informal outings, support nearby parkruns and travel to races together. The club’s new-member information explains how to get involved. The Stick & Wicket on The Green is the main base, but informal sessions do not necessarily have access to its changing facilities; check the arrangements for the chosen outing.
